Psalm 127:3-5

Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one's youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their enemies in the gate.

Mackenzie at the Doc

This morning we got call from our dear old neighbors. Roy did not sleep well and needed to see if myself or Mackenzie could take Joyce to the doctor's office this morning for her blood draw. Mackenzie jumped all over it. She came home with some great stories and observations. The best story was the older gentlemen who walks out from the patient area stating how he is tired of waiting in there and would much prefer to be in the waiting room socializing! So he sits out there visiting with everyone until his wife emerges from the patient area and says "oh there you are, what are you doing out here?" He tells her the same thing about being tired of waiting in there and wanting some social time.

When she brings home Joyce there is the 40 minute visit time next door where she observes that Roy cannot remember what he asked her, but he does know who sold him his garage door 50 years ago.

She went back this afternoon for her physical. Here she observed that the doc either thought she was a liar of led a pretty boring life. We hope for the later.

Roy asked her if she would be available to take him to the doc office tomorrow afternoon, so back she will go. She said I learned more today at the doc office and visiting, then I ever would in a text book. One of the great things about home schooling, the ability to experience life and the ability to be available to help 85+ year old neighbors with things. What a blessing, these two will not be around all that much longer and what a treasure to be able to assist them at this time.
