Psalm 127:3-5

Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one's youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their enemies in the gate.

Cael Charles Happel

Cael goes at life with gusto. He does not miss a minute of the good times. A very intense boy. He plays hard from sun up to sun down. He is also so sweet with younger kids, and works very hard. In fact this morning he made breakfast for Quincy, Cade, and Addy. He learned to read this year which was so cool, because at the beginning of the year he was not able to recognize all his letters. He played flag football this year, wrestled, and played baseball. He played pretty good football, although he did not score he did make it to the one foot line once!! He wrestled and boy did he ever wrestle. Surprised us all, finished the year 32-7 winning the USA Folkstyle, Freestyle, and Greco Roman meets, therefore winning his triple crown. We were amazed!! His warm-ups are legendary!! People in the gym point him out, and watch him get ready. He spends more effort getting ready then wrestling. He is the one in the blue singlet. He played baseball and hit some long balls, he referred to himself as the master. That would not be the only classic line to come out of his mouth. He is in the play for Sauerkraut Days, and I am amazed at his ability to come to practice night after night, giving up things in order to do so. Good character and life lessons learned here. You do not find him far from Quincy. He tries real hard to keep up with Carter. One of his best friends is his cousin Jarrett who you see playing first base while Cael is on the base in the black shirt.

We went to Hillcrest to the fireworks last night. It is such a fun time. So relaxing.

Reegan went to FCA Camp yesterday, she did track and field. Her legs were sore. Word from one of the huddle leaders is that she was rather good at all the events. I am not surprised, she is pretty talented!!

Carter is at FCA camp today doing golf. Gotta love a camp that gives out Bibles and talks about Jesus. Awesome!! I am taking the other children to the Linn Co Fair today. Rain soaked. It is a nice little fair.
