Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one's youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their enemies in the gate.

Wrestling

Well, we spent the entire cold windy day in a gym, which was rather warm!

Quincy got 1st, he had two kids in his bracket, he won the first match by fall, and the second 15-4. He then fell asleep for awhile, we have had some crazy stomach bug going around here. The trophy he brought home is almost the same size as him.

Cael - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Got down in his first match 7-4, and went on to win 12-7. Then he had a very good wrestler, who has already won a few state titles, and got pinned, then he got pinned again by another hammer. Then won another match and placed 5th. He was pleased with his medal.

Carter was very impressive today, won his first match 12-2, beat a 3 time state champ 4-0, and then won 1-0 in the finals. He took the kids down to his back for what looked like 5 right off the bat, but they landed in a potentially dangerous position resulting in no points. This bracket had 4 state champs and 2 runner-ups from last year. So 6 state finalists in one bracket - this was one of the most talked about brackets in the hallway!! Nice to win one like that - God has surely blessed him with some talent.

Mackenzie and Reegan worked hard all day with brackets and staging.

Cade and Kyler spent most of their day pooping all over the place, thanks to Skeeter who stopped by my house on her way up for more clothes or we may have had some naked Happel boys!!

Addelynn fell asleep twice, you gotta love a 3 year old who has been to so many tourneys that she just curls up and falls asleep whenever she is tired.

Hoping we can get healthy here real soon. Got some monkey bread about ready to come out - birthday traditions can be so yummy!!
