Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one's youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their enemies in the gate.

Weekend wrap up

Busy and relaxing weekend was just had. Yes, it may seem odd to use those two words together but it really was. Saturday I finished a rearranging and clearing out 8 of the kids clothes. Quite a project and a car load to Goodwill. The family closet looks great and I am glad I took the time to de clutter down there.

Dean and I went to this event called the tailgater roundup that afternoon. A fund raiser for the Lisbon 5 in 5. It really turned out to be a fun time and instead of just grabbing a quick bite to eat and heading into town, we ended up just at the round up and had ourselves a nice time.

Quincy, Cael and Reegan had their flag football games called off due to storms on Saturday morning.

Saturday night we stayed up nice and late like many Iowans and saw the Hawks take a loss in the desert to AZ.

Sunday we went to church and enjoyed a pot luck afterward. Addy played soccer, talk about cute. Oh man, I just had to giggle through most of the game she was so cute. After we took off and went to watch our friends Slick and Skeeter's oldest son play football at Coe College. They won 50-7 and we really enjoyed ourselves. We are really thinking of going again. True to form we did our best to embarrass him a bit by yelling at him when he took his helmet off. Hey, if you are a football fan, the JV games over there are free too!!

I went to a movie last night with my friend Kate and Mackenzie and her friend Melissa. I do not even remember the last time I saw a movie. We saw Eat, Pray, Love.

I better get going, time for school to start here and I think the teacher is late!!
