One might think I am missing, but alas, I am alive and well, and plenty of action is happening in this family.
Our ball seasons are winding down and I will admit I will miss all the running around and watching the kids play.
Cael wrapped up his season on Monday night, and he can seriously whack the ball. He will move up to a league next year where the kids do the pitching. Should be a lot of fun.
Quincy finished up on Tuesday and despite being the smallest kid on the team, he is still very mighty. He too can hit the ball and field as well.
Reegan's team just lost a heart breaker to end her season. Mackenzie stepped out of her norm, and was the assistant coach for Reegan's team. This was her first year with playing in a softball team. She did a fantastic job and learned a lot!!
Carter is still playing. The last junior high game is Friday and park and rec tourney starts tomorrow night. I seriously showed up at the first junior high game prepared to hate it, however, it was not hate I had but fell in love with watching the boys play. Park and rec is just as much fun, and I get to see him play a few more positions.
Hard to believe tomorrow is July already, June just flew by. I loved every minute of our busy lives through the month of June.
Knowing we would be in the van a lot this week traveling, I decided against putting the DVD player in and instead pulled out the Pippi Longstocking book on tape. Yes tape, not CD. What a hoot, we had a blast listening to the story. I would look in my rear view mirror and see the boys in the back giggling or gasping, and it made me feel like warm and fuzzy home school mom mush. Love the thought of how each of us in the van had our own visuals of what everyone looked like and how it all played out.
Dean has been busy working in Garwin installing a gym floor. 9000 square feet of hardwood laying.
Oh, I was able to continue to get 20,000 steps but now I quit. I am fickle and love to switch up my workouts. I also do enjoy losing inches, which I can do much easier with The Firm and in far less time, and so tomorrow, July 1, I go back. I will be doing the Power of 10 challenge. I will measure and weigh. Do ten workouts and then remeasure and weigh. Then start round two. You can follow my progress or lack of progress as I go.

Psalm 127:3-5
Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one's youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their enemies in the gate.
