Psalm 127:3-5

Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one's youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their enemies in the gate.

Mississippi River Museum

Took the children to the Mississippi River Museum today, it was really cool. I have always wanted to go but could not get past the amount of money it would cost. But because this was a field trip through the home school I was able to get myself and all the children in for $38.50. I thought that was reasonable and it was worth every last bit of the money. I would go back again, and had a hard time getting the kids to leave.

Have to throw out some big THANKS to my friend Skeeter, she was able to put up with my neurosis on Sunday during the last two rounds of the AAU State tourney like a real champ. As stated before she is one of those lifer friends, and I am so thankful for her presence over the whole weekend. Also, most thrilling was her youngest son pinning his first opponent on Saturday and then flexing as if he had won the whole thing. Man, that kid rocks!!

There are so cool things that happen when you get involved with youth wrestling, and one of those is meeting new friends. A new friend, who just happens to be the mom of the boy who beat Carter in the finals last year, brought me a few new baby outfits, and bought a texting plan for her phone so we can "chat".

Speaking of new friends, Mackenzie made one over the weekend, an older brother of one of the boys who comes out here for practice. Nice kid, and she is a lot like me and just seems to have more in common with boys then girls, not to mention it is harder to make new friends with a girl. Anyway, Skeeter and I were having most fun with our phones and texting her when she was visiting. Dean keeps calling him by the wrong name, and through it all she feels very loved which is so TRUE and I am thankful that she can see it that way, two parents who care, and love her. Also friends who showed up at the hospital within hours of her being born who also love her.
