Psalm 127:3-5

Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one's youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their enemies in the gate.

The BIG room move

NEW LIVING ROOM
NEW BATHROOM TILE
NEW BEDROOM

NEW SCHOOL ROOM

BEFORE - SCHOOL AND LIVING ROOM

So we decided to let Carter try having his own room, as he is getting a little older. I have mixed thoughts on this because I think it is good to learn to share and get along with others learning to adjust. However, he is getting older, and a nice quiet place to work on his school work (where he cannot distract the rest of us would also be nice.

Dean got home from work on Friday night and we started in. Now for those of you have worked with Dean on anything you know he works 100 miles and hour until the job is done or we collapse whichever comes first or both. We put in about 3 1/2 hours Friday night. I was wiped by the time we were done. Back at it this morning at about 8:30. There still is a need to hang trim in the bathroom which Dean promises me will be done tomorrow.

I thought it was crazy how much this type of move effects the whole house. For example, need to move a large cupboard to the top of the stairs requires the move of the sewing cabinet which requires the move of a corner shelf, which comes down to the new bedroom. Move a different cupboard into the bathroom to hold towels, move backpacks into old towel holder which is actually in the coat room. Cupboard that now holds towels was full of items that need to find their way into the school room. This move effected the following rooms; office (which is new bedroom), dining room (now living room), living room (now school room) coat room, bathroom, landing, my bedroom, and the boy's room.

Despite losing two rooms in the process, I really like the new arrangement. Very functional.

Anyway to celebrate getting a new room, Carter is having some of his brothers spend the night with him!!
