Psalm 127:3-5

Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one's youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their enemies in the gate.

Shut Er Down

In my twenties I heard a lot of "last calls" and shut a lot of places down. Last night I shut a new place down, we were officially the last ones out of Chuck E Cheese, 15 minutes before closing. We ate two pizza's, 1 order of dessert sticks, 8 pops, 300 tokens, a birthday celebration. Now what can you do with 300 tokens, well place lots of games and get lots of tickets which you can turn in for fabulous prizes. With or 300 tokens we were able to acquire 1100 tickets, and Mackenzie scored 2 cotton candies.

Hmmmmm, what to do with 1100 tickets. Well, my first thought was to get 1 big thing, and there was this really big ball like a 4 square ball with a big Chuck E Cheese Mouse on it. How fun!! We did not get this, instead we got 1100 tickets worth of misc. junk, sugar, and junk. On the way home I started really wishing we had gotten that ball. We could kick Chuck E all summer. A certain friend of mine, who will go unmentioned, can really appreciate this. She has a child who will also go unmentioned who kicked the actual Chuck E, in the unmentionables. I myself laughed over this incident for days if not weeks. Not because of the kick per se, but because of the way the mouse handled the whole thing. This would be a story for another time. Right now I am needed to make pop-eyes for breakfast, if you have never had them, the children say they are really good!!
