Psalm 127:3-5

Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one's youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their enemies in the gate.

Psalm 127:3-5

toot toot toot, fa la la la la

The Christmas concert was last night for Mackenzie, as always it was beautiful. I thought that the band was missing a few people but Mackenzie said only 4. The choir was missing some students as well. However, both groups did outstanding as always. Love the choir, something about a home school choir where you have voices of 8 year olds combined with 18 year olds. So beautiful. There was even a song written just for girls, and one with 5 parts to it. Lovely. They opened with "You're a Mean One Mr. Grinch" which happens to be one of my favorite holiday songs! I think it is funny.

The band was good as well, it always is. They played a song from Westside Story; America. Made me want to go and see it again. It sounded awesome. Home school band, really plays well, they do not have a HUGE amount of students, but those they do have can really play.

I am thankful Mackenzie is part of this, it is her niche, and she enjoys it all so much, it is always a great pleasure to get to sit back and listen. At one time I just closed my eyes to hear the music of her band, to soak it in and reflect.

The band will be off to competition in Chicago in the spring, I am hoping to chaperon!! Great America here I come - I still love a good roller coaster.

Oh, and the crowd last night was full and just a bit rowdy with their cheering. I laughed and thought home schoolers gone wild! Dean said, they had probably all been out of school for a month! Not sure about that, but they were really cheering last night.
