Psalm 127:3-5

Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one's youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their enemies in the gate.

Lunch and Laughs

Today I had the opportunity to have lunch with Mackenzie's friends Codey and Lauren, and their mother Becky. We went to Skillet in Mt Vernon. Loved meeting Becky and really enjoyed meeting her. Also, it was fun for Mackenzie and I too see Codey and Lauren again. Mackenzie had already met Becky and had supper with the three of them, their grandparents, and other family. They also played mini golf. It is amazing how you can meet a person for the first time and have so much in common with them. It was a pleasure to meet Becky, and I hope to be able to visit with her again.

On the fourth we went to Tipton for the first time to see fireworks. I think for the first time I also spent most of the night belly laughing. You know that kind of laugh that just won't stop and you cannot even get your breath to get the laugh started? Yeah one of those. Due to rain we watched them from the back of Janice's Chevy Van - which made me think of Sammy Johns' song Chevy Van. Of course his idea of the back and the van and ours was a bit different!

The umbrellas were to keep our legs dry! Check out the little faces behind us. What a hoot!! Oh and Jaycie would be singing the Star Spangled Banner I think anyway.
