Psalm 127:3-5

Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one's youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their enemies in the gate.

6 Years Ago today

I gave birth to Quincy Everett Happel. 7lbs 12 ounces 21 inches born at 11:06pm. It was a beautiful fall day, not like today at all. Sunny and warm. His birth was the first time I had an epidural and it was lovely. He is a Cubs baby. The Cubs were playing the deciding game of the NLCS, and we were all watching. Once the Cubs lost the pitocin was upped and he was born shortly after.

Quincy is a sharp kid, and a lot of fun. He is a rather small boy is size, but makes up for it is who he is. He can keep up with anyone and everyone, and I often see him out on the tramp with the older boys doing everything they are. He and Cael do almost everything together.

It is all Quincy all day today. So we had his favorite breakfast; sausage on a stick with a pancake wrapped around it. For lunch we had monkey bread, which is a birthday tradition. We ate it with toothpicks because his favorite supper is corn dogs, and so all food today will have been eaten on a stick!! He is having some friends over tonight to help him celebrate. We will have corn dogs, Doritos, chocolate cake with chocolate frosting, chocolate and mint chocolate chip ice cream. Please do not call the food police on me.
